Trump is to cultural/political Christians what the golden calf was to the people of Israel in Exodus. Trump Christians are a stiff-necked people who sneer at the Sermon on the Mount and would sooner step on than lift up “the least of these.”
I’ve found it very difficult to get people off “But Biden.” I try to side step the assertion and point back to the present issue.
Typically, they double and then triple down on the assertion with even more assertions to muddy the discussion — anything to avoid the real issue.
I try to avoid call people cult members because that isn’t going to advance the conversation, but this is a cult.

I pray that on each item I post, I might trigger a little reflection from a Trump follower, or even flip a MAGA, or show an unbeliever that there is a loving Jesus who is the way, the truth, and the life, and thereby open a heart to God’s grace.

well said! I don't know how Christians are able to ignore the hate and lies that come from Trump. He calls people names, says awful things about others, lies, cheats... He cares only for himself - not his voters or anyone else. He pardons those who have done wrong, taken money and services away from those in need thanks to DOGE (a big expensive waste if you ask me). He has been taking away rights, ignoring due process, enriching himself while in office. We've spent millions for his golfing - being flown around, having secret service w/him, having the US pay for SS staying at his resorts.... not to mention the cost for a parade that he wants (to honor him - not the military, in spite of what he says, and the "free" plan from Qatar will cost us much more because we'll have to pay to have the plane retrofitted.

Can people who support the fascist, harmful actions of Trump even be called Christian?

Well -- and truly -- said. The frantic whataboutist responses make me think that, deep down, people know that Trump, and they, are doing harm.
